Consultant and Facilitator

Get in touch:

I enjoy using collaboration and participatory methods to address complex challenges. I have over 20 years' experience - from working with refugee communities in Sheffield to serving as Executive Director of ArtGlo, a participatory arts charity in Malawi. Through this I have seen the importance of bringing diverse partners together to create positive change.

I find facilitating connections and collaborative problem-solving between varied stakeholders really satisfying. I have helped diverse organisations – from community groups, to academic institutions, government bodies and international organisations – to develop more impactful solutions than any could have developed alone.

Recently, I’ve facilitated community engagement around energy efficiency in South Yorkshire, was lead facilitator of a Citizens’ Jury on retrofit in Calderdale and supported strategy development with a community centre in Harrow.

As a qualified forest therapy guide and Mental Health First Aider, I’m particularly interested in the intersection between physical activity, nature connection and mental wellbeing.

Support I Bring

I draw on a range of facilitation methodologies, from arts-based and design thinking approaches to more traditional methods. I work closely with partners to design a process that participants will be comfortable with and feel fully able to contribute to. I create environments where diverse partners can work together effectively through:

  • Designing inclusive facilitation processes that value all voices
  • Building relationships between diverse participants from grassroots organisations to larger institutions
  • Taking a coaching approach that empowers local communities to lead change
  • Navigating systemic challenges with creative, collaborative approaches
