I am an independent facilitator of systems leadership and positive disruption for social and civic change with over 25 years of senior leadership experience in a variety of sectors. As a social strategy consultant, I offer a blend of strategic thinking and practical implementation that offers the potential to transform organisations and the systems that they are a part of. As a facilitator I hold spaces that allow the best thinking to happen and in ways that support profound culture and systems change.

My work brings together multiple tools, techniques and change models. Through each client relationship I am able to offer an adaptable approach using these different models in ways that suit the unique needs of that organisation or place.

As a creative catalyst and movement builder for social change I founded and ran the organisation The Wild Network, a collaboration that brought together organisations including RSPB and National Trust as well hundreds of grassroots organisations around a shared purpose – reconnecting children with nature. Together we made a feature film, Project Wild Things, seen by over 1.5 million people worldwide and kick-started a significant shift in culture.

I am passionate about social justice and overcoming profound health inequalities and this has led me to work extensively within the Sport England Place Expansion ecosystem.  I have delivered systems leadership programmes for the Local Delivery Pilots in Birmingham & Solihull and Essex and facilitated workshops for Sport England to support the co-creation of the Uniting the Movement Implementation Strategy.

I am one of the LGA’s chosen systems leadership facilitators, supporting the Sport England place-based expansion in Barnsley, Swindon, Tower Hamlets and Stoke-on-Trent.

I am also co-creator of the Fearless Learning Programme, an approach to place-based systems leadership that has been delivered to over 100 individuals involved in the Sport England place expansion programme.  I co-authored the Active Communities artefact which brought together 6 years of learning in Birmingham and Solihull through the Local Delivery Pilot to support on-going place-based work in those places and beyond. taws_ac-story-artefact_FINAL-WEB.pdf

My broad portfolio of work, and independent approach allows me to work across several sectors working with individuals as well as organisations. Ultimately, I have come to recognise that real change will only emerge through a dedication to inner transformation and through practicing different behaviours through which systems change can thrive.

I am available to work nationally, for facilitation of group processes, co-creation of ideas and projects from initiation to implementation and for leadership training.

I also work as a Wilderness Rites of Passage Guide, supporting people through life transitions in wild places. Originally from the West Midlands and West Yorkshire, I now live in Devon with my family and Canadian canoe.
