As a former CEO committed to city-wide transformation, I have successfully worked across local systems to embed long-term strategies. For example, as CEO of York Museums Trust my leadership of York’s Culture Strategy involved bringing together diverse stakeholders, aligning partners’ objectives, and securing buy-in.  

I have a proven track record of facilitating meaningful partnerships that benefit people including the development of a city-wide cultural prescription service for York residents in partnership with GP practices.  

I am a qualified facilitator specialising in strategic planning and a consultant who provides expert advice and support for Lottery funded capital and public engagement projects.   

I adapt my facilitation and consultation skills to the needs and preferences of clients. That might mean carrying out scoping interviews, mapping, supporting shared planning or helping you to reflect. My experience aligns with the Active Partnerships approach, and I will be able to support partners in collaborative leadership and jointly driving change.  

I bring a participatory approach to help identify issues, opportunities and find solutions together. Trained in systems thinking, I can facilitate systems mapping to understand which levers will drive change locally.  

Having mentored for over 20 years, I bring skilled support, informed by respect, the desire to progress inclusion and a coaching approach. For example, I have mentored  the leaders of a volunteering partnership tackling social isolation in Hartlepool to reshape their project. I am an accredited coach.
