Averil Price

I have a deep understanding of local government structures and the challenges of delivering impactful, community-led initiatives.  I am currently working with several top teams and individuals in district councils to support and guide them through the uncertainty and change as they approach Local Government Reorganisation.  

As an experienced coach, facilitator, and leadership mentor, I specialise in empowering individuals and teams to navigate change, build strong collaborations, and drive meaningful progress. I am passionate about fostering inclusive environments in which diverse voices can shape decision-making.  

Much of my work as a serving officer was rooted in co-creation, ensuring that strategies are developed with, rather than for, communities.  

In supporting places, I can offer:  

• Expertise in public sector leadership, governance, and strategic planning.  

• Facilitation of multi-agency partnerships, ensuring coherence and shared purpose.  

• Coaching and mentoring for leaders, helping them develop the confidence and skills to drive change.  

• Practical experience in navigating complex challenges, balancing ambition with deliverability.  

I am excited to be part of this initiative, sharing knowledge with other facilitators and connecting places to maximise collective expertise, fostering collaboration, and ensuring efficient and effective use of funds.
