After many years as a CEO in the charitable cultural sector, I’m now an independent consultant working across culture, physical activity and regeneration. The vast majority of my work has involved working in complex systems, with multiple stakeholders, towards greater equity.

I’m a natural collaborator with wide-ranging experience of bringing people, organisations and missions together. My 15 years as co-CEO of Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse theatres gave me deep and broad experience of both place-based and national collaboration.

As founder of The People’s Pool – a vision for a new lido for the Liverpool City Region – I built wide-ranging alliances to ensure the pool would address barriers to participation and achieve maximum social benefit. I then channelled my knowledge and ideas into co-founding Future Lidos, a peer-to-peer collaboration connecting, representing and developing the lido sector across the UK and Ireland.

My consultancy work so far has involved coaching, mentoring, and vision, strategy, funding, policy and organisational development with a wide range of clients.

Most relevant to this programme is my recent work with BCP FuturePlaces, developing recommendations for multi-agency collaboration to enhance community health and wellbeing through inclusive provision for physical activity.

I am passionate about delivering equitable access to the wellbeing benefits of physical activity and look forward to getting under the skin of a place to understand its unique strengths, challenges and ecology. I will bring empathy, diplomacy, clarity, pragmatism, and a tenacious focus on shared purpose, to help unlock deep and lasting transformation.
