With Together an Active Future, one of Sport England’s original Local Delivery Pilots, I’ve spent years embedded in the complexity of place—navigating diverse partnerships, building system-wide strategies, and helping colleagues unlock fresh ways of working. As a coach I’ve supported over 20 places including Cardiff, Wakefield, Bristol, and Blackpool, offering practical tools, coaching, and facilitation to help build momentum.  

  Here’s some of the ways I can support places on this journey:  

•  Make sense of complexity – using tools like systems mapping and the Iceberg model to understand context and identify opportunities for change.  

• Facilitate inclusive collaboration – designing events that bring people together, spark innovation, and build shared purpose.  

• Strengthen local leadership – through 1:1 and group coaching (including Clifton Strengths) to build clarity, confidence, and influence.  

• Support a Move to Active Wellbeing – as a former Leisure Trust CEO I can support strategic thinking around place-based Leisure transformation  

• Unlock progress and momentum – identifying leverage points and supporting aligned, purposeful action.  

• Deliver systems leadership training – engaging colleagues from all layers of the system, helping unite them around a shared vision and clearer understanding of what it takes to make a difference.  

 Wherever a place is starting from, I bring experience, empathy, and energy—ready to walk alongside place leaders as they build healthier, fairer, more active communities.
