I am an experienced leader in community-led change, specialising in asset-based community development, trauma-informed practice, and systems leadership. With over 25 years in the social sector using participatory approaches, I have worked alongside communities, public health, local government and charities to co-create solutions that foster collaboration, innovation, and lasting social impact.
As the founder of Go Together, I aim to come alongside you to cultivate trust and nurture the ‘connective tissue’ required between communities and system leaders to address inequalities.
Support I bring
I blend facilitation with training and coaching to groups and individuals. I bring expertise in:-
- Asset-Based Community Development – placing people before programmes to unlock community strengths.
- Mapping Assets – mobilising community resources and assets for positive change. Gift discovery within teams.
- Community Facilitation – fostering dialogue through World Café, Open Space Technology, Art of Hosting, and Appreciative Inquiry.
- Navigating Power Dynamics – growing your discernment to know when to step back to grow community ownership and when to step in to address inequities.
- Shared Decision-Making – developing non-hierarchical, inclusive practices and shared ownership.
- Participatory Evaluation – engaging communities as co-researchers using Ripple Effect Mapping and Stories of Most Significant Change.
- Placemaking – transforming physical community spaces into hubs of connection, creativity and collaboration.
- Building Hopeful Cultures – using storytelling, milestone celebrations and community traditions to strengthen relationships and connection.
- Relational, Restorative, and Trauma-Informed Practice – understanding how trauma shapes relationships at individual and community levels.
- Healing Communities – fostering trust, inclusion, and co-regulation to build resilience.
My thoughtful and energetic approach will help to build the capacity you need for a successful Place Partnership.
