We’ve partnered with England Boxing Ltd and Parkinson's UK to launch two new boxing programmes in Northamptonshire.
As part of Northamptonshire Sports work to further understand and learn about the local opportunities and barriers we were joined by Sported and Northamptonshire Rights Equality Council to host an event to open a conversation around racism in sport.
This collection of short films features disabled people from Northamptonshire who are already physically active and enjoy the benefits of doing so. The aim of these films is to help inspire other disabled people from around the county and country to get active by seeing other people like them already doing so.
IMPACT was a one year project that saw clubs and organisations across the East Midlands region receive free training to help create a welcoming environment for volunteers with the overall aim to increase the number of disabled volunteers.
The Healthier Child Project is an initiative funded by the Public Health Northamptonshire and is delivered by Northamptonshire Sport in partnership with the Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT)
Throughout 2016, Northamptonshire Sport made a decision to give each month a theme to support a particular work area or series of projects.
It was decided that September would be a great opportunity to hold an “Inclusion month” alongside the Paralympics and the Disability officer and Marcomms Officer put a plan in place to maximise the opportunity to raise the profile of Inclusive sport.
