Active Cumbria and Age UK Barrow and District -tackling health inequalities across the town

Through Active Cumbria, Age UK Barrow and District have received funding from Sport England Together Fund to employ a dedicated physical activities co-ordinator. The funding will enable Age UK to provide an extended range of physical activities and classes which support older adults and in particular those with long term health conditions to be more active. The programme supports some of the most deprived areas of Barrow, with the aim of tackling health inequalities across the town.
