The Together Fund has supported a huge variety of ages and activities across the NE

In June Rise secured £200,000 from the Sport England Together Fund to continue helping community organisations to deal with issues caused by Covid-19. It allowed the Active Partnership to provide funding of up to £10,000 to a wide range of organisations who have a clear understanding of the inequalities that exist in their communities, including the barriers that stop them from being active.

The fund has been used to enable community groups to continue to recover and grow and engage with their communities, supporting people to be engaged and active, particularly those organisations working with Rise’s priority audiences:

  • Lower socio-economic groups
  • Culturally diverse communities
  • Disabled people
  • People with long-term health conditions
