The Department for Education has today announced an investment of £10.1 million of funding to enable schools to open their sports facilities outside of school hours, to be distributed through Active Partnerships working with Sport England.
218 delegates attended the first event with cross sector representation including local authorities, Age UK, NHS, Care Homes, Leisure Trusts and various voluntary and community sector partners. It aimed to raise awareness of this initiative and to promote partnership working.
