NHS Trusts are one of the largest Merseyside employers with collectively over 35,000 staff. Working together with 9 Trusts across Merseyside, MSP put together the #alltogetherfitterNHS campaign.
The Reclaim Sports Project and story is somewhat likened to Robin Hood, the idea being that those that had sports kit would give to those that do not. Collaboration between Birmingham City Council Wellbeing Services,, BBC Get Inspired National Team, BBC West Midlands, and Sports Trader.
Living Sport started working with a local parent-led charity Welcome 2 Our world in 2015. It soon became clear that the group had several barriers and challenges to accessing sport and physical activity opportunities in the local area for their children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
In West Cheshire, The Daily Mile is a CSP led initiative, the first locality in England to bring the impact of this programme across the border and not only replicate its success but add some serious value to the programme to.
Sport Birmingham co-ordinated for a group of young people from the city to become involved in a tri-national sports exchange programme with young people from two of Birmingham’s twinned cities – Lyon and Frankfurt.
Working in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent Sport enabled students to design and deliver the training to 103 young leaders who then assisted in delivering the School Games.
MSP has actively increased its sphere of influence with inactive young people, specifically those within the care system. Ravenhead Foyer in Merseyside was identified as it had a high number of inactive young people who have additional barriers to social inclusion.
#PartOfTheMOVEment is a campaign designed to bring individuals, employers, educational institutes, community groups, health partners and Local Authorities together to tackle one of the region’s biggest issues - physical inactivity.
